He was predeceased by: his parents, Alf Nelson and Margaret Nelson; and his brothers, Glen of Dayton, Ohio and Alan of Council Bluffs, Iowa. He is survived by: his wife Joan of Mesa, AZ; his daughter Molly Nelson (Darred) of Sioux Falls, SD; his siblings, Carol Wild of Fargo, ND and Dale Nelson of Valley City, ND; his sister-in-law Sarah Nelson of Council Bluffs, IA; his sister Julie Lindahl of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Collan, Kammden and Mirannda of Sioux Falls, SD.; his godsons, Jeramy Novak of Brookings and Jacob Koerlin of Denver; and also Darred. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (Colon Cancer) and the Alzheimer's/Dementia Association.
