He is survived by: his nephew Scott Lucas (Stacey); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan and McKenzie; and his siblings, Sue Lucas, Janice Seever, Robert Carpenter, Cathy Thompson and Russ Carpenter.
He was eventually diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's.
