He is survived by: his wife Eva Kathryn Wright Openshaw; and his sons, Josh (Hanaga Openshaw), Kevin (Jennie Sawyers), Mark Openshaw, Sam (Heather Openshaw), Jeff (Brittany Cleveland) and Austin (Stephanie Openshaw). He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren.
