He was predeceased by: his cousin Cliff; and his parents, Mae Brunick and Dale Brunick. He is survived by: his close friend Tommie Carpenter; his wife Jeanne Apelseth of Queen Creek, AZ; his daughter Heather Oliver (Braheim Oliver); his grandchildren, Shayla and Kayden of Mesa, AZ; his daughter Jennifer Brunick; his grandchildren, Arayah and Zion of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Dodie Noordermeer of Pierre, SD; his nephew Cory; his stepchildren, Christina Apelseth of Arlington, VA and Espen Apelseth; and his mother-in-law Dawn Mazzio of Rapid City, SD.

Due to COVID, the wedding was conducted via Zoom with their daughter, Christina Apelseth; officiating.
