He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Everett; and his former wife Beverly Dodge. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his sons, Brian and Brent (Amy); his stepchildren, Richard (Tammie), Cindy (Bryan) and Marcus; and his grandchildren, Mike, John, Brandon, Allison, Dillon, Ashton, Tara, Rachel, Wesley, Tori, Zoe and Luke. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Mike struggled these past several years with Alzheimer's disease, but still enjoyed getting out with his friends and family.
