He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard McConnell and Gudrun McConnell (Matthiasson); and his nephew Matt McConnell. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Franks; his children, Richard McConnell (Sharon), Kris Tucker (Bennet) and Rachel Wittrock (Michael); his grandchildren, Brandon Drees (Chasity), Kelly McWilliams (Casey), Christian McConnell, Emily McConnell and Ava Wittrock; his great grandchildren, Ella, Porter McWilliams, Norah and Aubrey Drees; and his brothers, James McConnell (Frances), Bill McConnell (Ruth) and Allen McConnell (Carol). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Shriners Hospital.
