He was predeceased by: his brother Timothy; and his grandson Colter Smith. He is survived by: his wife Aleen Bray; his grandchildren, Cade, Zane, Cassie Hengel, Taya Verplancke and Amber; his great grandchild Charlee Smith; his stepdaughters, Judy Verplancke and Jeri Hunter; his siblings, Linda Mattern and Gerald Golis; his half-sister Sarah Golis; his stepmother Joan Golis; and his niece Renee Robb.
