He was predeceased by: his parents, James Samuel Leird and Mae Leird (Buck); his wife Artie Leird; his son Thomas Leird, Jr.; and his sisters, Iva Davis and Eva Leird.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Koger (Clifford) of Tuttle, Angie Johnson of Eufaula, Ron Leird (Sandy) of Tuttle and Tim Leird of Shawnee; and his brother Johnny Leird (Wathena) of McAlester. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
