It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen Ybarra Portillo (Phoenix, Arizona), born in Hayden, Arizona, who passed away on April 14, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernardo Ybarra and Paula Ybarra; and her sisters, Dr. Frances Y Amabisca, Mary Y. Garcia and Elidia Y Herrera.

She is survived by: her children, Frances Portillo (James Mehrens) and David Portillo (Julie); her granddaughters, Amanda Takacs (Kevin) and Molly Portillo; her close friend Mike Caviasca; Carmen.

Due to the COVID-19, services were held privately per the guidelines in place.
