He is survived by: his wife Maria Trif; his children, Rebecca, Debora, Lidia, Ilie, Olga, Nellie, John, Marcela, Danny and David; and his siblings, Cornelia, Petru, Treja and Utu. He is also survived by 50 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
