With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fern Marie (Burns) Schwartz (Phoenix, Arizona), born in Vinita, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 20, 2020 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fern Marie (Burns) Schwartz to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Arthur Schwartz; her parents, Arley Burns and Elva Burns (Cox); and her sisters, Lola Mae Kinkade (Burns) and Melba Jean Spain (Burns).

She is survived by : her children, Gregory Schwartz, Timothy Schwartz, Martha Fait, Stephen Schwartz, Nicholas Schwartz, David Schwartz, Julia Rohde, Cynthia Schwartz, Rebecca Plescia, Philip Schwartz and Donald Schwartz; her sister Carolyn Womack (Burns) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her aunts, Geneva Ervin (Burns) of Broken Arrow and Violet Burns of Westminster, Colorado; and her grandchildren, Justin Schwartz, Jason Fait (Grace), Jeremy Fait, Joshua Fait (Courtney), Jacob Fait, Elea Dockery, Ben Schwartz, Alexander Rohde, Jessica Rohde, Anthony Plescia and Nicolette Plescia. She is also survived by One step great grandchild and six (6) great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fern volunteered her time working tirelessly collecting donations from companies, restaurants, florists, etc. obtaining donations, gift cards, event tickets, souvenir items, products, services, etc. fundraising monies for the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. She won a prestigious award for her volunteer charity work which was an amazing feat because she was blind.
