He is survived by: his daughter Daphne Audrey McDowell; his parents, Tracy Smith and Gerald K. McDowell II; his siblings, Kesley Negri, Billy and Christine Recard; his grandfather Billy J. Smith; his aunts and uncles, Jodi, Jim Rogers, Mark Smith, Michael and Melissa McDowell; his cousins, Will Smith, Chelsea, Jesse Hernandez, Emily Langford, Amanda Smith, Ryan McDowell, Zachary Rogers, Andrew Donaldson, Tyler Florek and Allen Bovanizer; and also Ginny McDowell.
In lieu of flowers Tracy Smith is starting a college fund for Jer's daughter Daphne. Donations will be accepted at the service and through PayPal or Facebook Messenger.
