He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Burwell and Oscie Burwell (Minard); his wife Jean; and his niece Sharon Johnston (Nowels). He is survived by: his sons, Alan Earl (Leslie) of Scottsdale, AZ, Norman Wesley and Kathey of Clarinda, IA; his grandchildren, Christopher of Clarinda, IA, Michael of Arab, AL, Robin (Jeremy) of Malvern, IA, Ryan (Heather), Jordan, Noelita (Dominguez) of Omaha, NE, Connor, Aquarius, Mattson, Catlin, Trennen, Olivia, Piper and Wyatt; and his nephews, Larry Nowels of Sebring, FL, Steven Pressly of Rock Island, IL and Timothy Pressly of Rock Island, IL..
