He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bartelson and Tena Bartelson; his wife Bobbie Lou; and his siblings, Leland, Verlee Edens and Louise Robinson.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Lynn (Barney) and David; his granddaughter Sarah Lynn; and his great grandchild Bodhi.
