He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Herman and Emma Herman; his sister Marilyn Kreikemeier; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Jacobs, William Gentrup and Norman Emanuel.
He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Herman (Kammermeier-Strack); his children, Carol A. Herman of Syracuse, NE, Michael Herman, Beverly Herman of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Helphrey, Terry Helphrey of LaVista, NE, Roxanne LaCapra and Michael LaCapra of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Nick Herman, Anna Helphrey, Reid Helphrey, Maria LaCapra and Phillip LaCapra; his sister Luella Jacobs of Norma Emanuel; and his brother-in-law Arnold Kreikemeier.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Liberty Hospice or the St. James Church Building Fund.
