He was predeceased by : his parents, Jose Alvarez Malfabon and Luz Alvarez; his brother Gilberto; and his son-in-law Juan Robledo. He is survived by : his wife Ofelia Alvarez; and his children, Alejandro (Yolanda), Guadalupe (Martha), Virginia Casillas (Baltazar), Jose Ricardo (Luz), Ruben (Rosa), Ana Robledo (Eduardo), Veronica (Ramon) and Carlos (Angela). He is also survived by father who always took care of his children, a loving grandfather and "great-grand" father.
