It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay R. Bender Powell Reid (Scottsdale, Arizona), born in Logansport, Indiana, who passed away on August 18, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George R 'Buss' and Jeanette Minneman Bender; her former husband Jack L. Powell; her husband Joseph B. Reid; her siblings, William Bender, Madonna Benson and Jim 'Buck Bender (Ruth); her sisters-in-law, Delores Bender of Logansport, IN. and Bernadine Bender of Logansport, IN.; her daughters, Ginny Sharpe (Paul) of Phoenix, Debbie Driscoll (Tom) of Phoenix and Karen Epperly (Ron) of Flagstaff; her grandchildren, Becky Gott (Mike), Tony Mercurio (Hollie), Bob Sharpe, Barbie Schimke (Zach) and Samuel Epperly; and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Aaron, Tyler Mercurio, Evelyn and Olivia Schimke. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
