He was predeceased by : his parents, Edd Van Hooser and Lessie Mae Chandler Van; his wife Jane Rundle Van Hooser; and his siblings, Gladys Abercrombie, Clarice Bramlett, Avis Volentine and Murry Van Hooser.
He is survived by : his friends, Restaurant and Sedona; his children, Diana Jane Shelby of Houston, TX and Stephen Wesley Van Hooser (Juli J. Van); his grandchildren, James Chandler Van Hooser (Stephanie Osan) of Telluride, CO, Elizabeth Jane Shelby Hurt (Eric Thomas Hurt) of Houston, TX, Meredith Mae Van Hooser of Plano, TX and Sarah Seay Shelby (Brooke Lindsay Shelby) of Houston, TX; his great grandchildren, Thomas Michael Hurt and Clara Jane Hurt; his sisters, Shirley McMillin of Carthage, MS and Marie McGhee of Port Orange, FL; and also Dick Rundle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
