He is survived by: his son Michael Mejia (Maica); and his siblings, Raul Vargas (Marcia), Lipa Carrasco (Joe), Elvia Stork and Elisa Mejia. He is also survived by the extended family members of 5 nieces, 4 nephews, 6 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 1 great-great niece and 2 great-great nephews.
