He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Stanley and Bernice Irene Nowak; and his siblings, Audrey Ford and Donald Nowak. He is survived by: his former wife Joan Tessmann; his wife Joan Nowak; his children, Nathan Paul Carlson and Amy Leitheiser (Brandon); his grandchild Layla Leitheiser; his brother George Nowak (Marilyn); and his uncle Dean Jahnke. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
