He was predeceased by: his daughter Natasha Mesa; his parents, Carlos P. Mesa and Artemisa Mesa; and his siblings, Richard Ramirez (Alice) and Lydia Santa Cruz (Steve).
He is survived by: his children, Belisa Martinez (Frank), Michelle Flores (Eddie) and Anadine Lopez Storey (Ted); his siblings, Maria Duarte (Rene), Hector Mesa, Arturo Mesa (Yolanda), Gilbert Mesa (Mercy) and Carlos Mesa Jr. (Grace); and his former wives, Irene Mesa, Yvonne Mesa and Maria Mesa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary (South Chapel) (240 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701). A prayer was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Hope Cemetery (3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705).
