She was predeceased by: her son Henry David Valencia; her son-in-law William I. Rothstein; her parents, Luis E. Castro and Ysidora Arellano Castro; and her siblings, Graciela Castro (Grace), Esther McCormick, Antonio, Luis C., Ignacio J. (Nash) and Daniel A. Castro.

She is survived by: her daughters, Valerie Bridges of Green Valley and Vanessa Rothstein of Tubac; and her granddaughters, Maia Rothstein and Elise Rothstein. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
