She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Ortega and Esther Ortega; and her brothers, Arturo, Gregorio and Henry Ortega.

She is survived by: her husband Ernesto C Banuelos; her children, Esther "Guera" Tovar (Jesus), Ernie Banuelos (Bebe) and Eddie Banuelos (Monica); and her siblings, Erminia Jayme, Erlinda Rodriguez, Stella Ortega, John, Joe and Ruben Ortega. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
