She was predeceased by: her sister Thelma; and her husband Marty. She is survived by: her brother Marty Greenbaum (Eileen Mislove) of Brooklyn; her children, Joan Berman MD of Manhattan, Marlene Edelstein (David Weinrab), Noah Martin Edelstein and Mark (Judith Riley MD); her granddaughter Alexandra Martin Berman; Sidney. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children.
Ruth and Marty ran the business, after Sidney retired, until Marty's untimely death from early onset Alzheimer's in 1986.
