He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Curtis Black and Florence Dutra Black of Albany, California.; his wife Virginia; his stepson Mike; his daughter Trinette; his son-in-law Steve; his grandsons, Bryan and Bradley Neuerburg; and his friends, Lee and Carole Cabral.

Due to Covid-19, there will be a private family celebration of his life on November 7, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice by the Bay would be greatly appreciated.
