She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Elmore H. Sachs; her parents, Harry Markoff and Mollie Markoff (Greenhaus); her children, Andrea Kaplan (Martin) of Apple Valley and Rabbi Meir Sachs (Rachal) of Jerusalem; and her siblings, Adeline Markoff Sellman and Charles Markoff. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Over the years, The Danbury Hospital Development Fund, St. Mary Medical Center Foundation in Apple Valley, CA, the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America and the Alzheimers Association were beneficiaries of Sydel's generosity.
