He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Albert Mekan and Mildred Marie Arnold Mekan. He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Olivares; his children, Thomas Mekan Jr. of Temple City, California and Ruby Mekan of Temple City, California; and his siblings, David Mekan of Winona, Gene Mekan of Bernie, Ivan Mekan of Dexter, Missouri, Carolyn Mekan of Bernie, Violetta Mastilovich of St. Louis, Missouri, Bill Mekan, Launita McNeal, Margaret Parks, Ava June Armes and Francis Mekan. He is also survived by four grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
