It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Critchfield of Arcata, California, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Milton and Carole; and her brother John. She is survived by : her siblings, James Critchfield, Donna Shaikh and Ann Bettencourt; her brother-in-law Atif Shaikh; her nephew Razzaq Shaikh (Jayda Shaikh); her stepdaughter Fatima Maharouf; her niece Samina Pathan (Naved); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Hamza, Yusra and Medina; and her friend Eileen Redbud.

In lieu of flowers, $10 and $20 donations for Mary's Cheyenne Mountain Zoo bench plaque are welcomed.
