He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Alvarez and Concepcion Barcenas; his brothers, Manuel and Pedro Barcenas; and his daughter Angie Barcenas.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Barcenas Rodriguez; his friend Martha; and his children, Enriqueta Vargas, Lucia Barragan, Rosangel Barcenas, Martha Barcenas, Bellinda Barcenas, Viviana Barcenas, Johnny Barcenas, Angel Barcenas, Juan Barcenas and Andrew Barcenas. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
