He was predeceased by: his father Juan Medrano; and his nephew Ty Manuel Torres. He is survived by: his children, John Medrano and Kim Coker; his daughter-in-law Rachel Medrano; his mother Hortencia Medrano; and his siblings, Margaret, Irma, Juanita, Hector, Alma, Olga, Maria, Martha and Jorge. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.
