With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sharlene Yvonne Thompson of Bakersfield, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 1, 2025 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her husband Tim Thompson; and her parents, James Riggs and Estella Yvonne Riggs (Childress). She is survived by: her son Ryan; her daughter-in-law Meagan Evans; her daughter Micah; her son-in-law Aaron Moreno; her grandchildren, Ryan Jr., Emily, Jordyn, Ethan and Jeffrey; and her siblings, Rodney, Cathy and Karen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel (9101 Kern Canyon Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93306). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery (9101 Kern Canyon Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93306). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at 6718 Meany Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93308.
