He was predeceased by: his grandparents, W. C., Nettie Davis of Cookeville, Hugh and Ethel Burroughs of Jasper; and his parents, Cortley Burroughs and Kathleen Davis Burroughs of Alton.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Emily Lee; his sister Kathryn; his stepsons, John and Robert; and his grandsons, Theodore and Hampton. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
