She was predeceased by: her parents, Fukutaro Shingu and Akiko Shingu of Hiroshima-Ken; her stepsister Kioye Sagara (Henry); her siblings, Sachiko Yamashita (George), Kenzo, Masami and Shinobu; her siblings-in-law, Tosh Domoto, George Yamashita, Mat Fujitani, Ben Tsuchimoto, Bella and Connie; and her close friends, Nancy Moriwaki and Tomoe Otani.
She is survived by: her son Gary; her daughter-in-law Anne; her grandchildren, Alison and Grant; her siblings, Lily Yuriko Domoto, Amy Emiko, Reiko Carol, Hasuko Fujitani, Chiyo and Shoichi; and her sisters-in-law, Selina and Alice. She is also survived by the third of twelve siblings, one older stepsister, one older brother, six younger sisters and three younger brothers.
