He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father William "Bill" Hon Chaw; his wife Elinor; his children, Terisa (James Hendriksen), Debra, Cynthia, Michael (Jeannie Chaw) and Karen; his grandchildren, Kristin Chaw Hendriksen (Payson Cushman), Molly Chaw Hendriksen (Logan Frye) and Nathan Chaw; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan Park; his sisters, Helen Der and Sally Yee; and his sister-in-law Rubye Chaw. He was also cherished by his many nephews and nieces.
