He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Maria Luisa; his friend Frank Lucero; his wife Sophie Sanchez; and his children, Alice Sottile, Patricia Ibarra, Anita Koop, Helen Moreno, Mary Postal, Salvador S. Moreno and Barbara Cosio Moreno.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary (11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, CA 91345). A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mission Rey Church (15151 San Fernando Mission Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Fernando Mission Cemeteries and Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary (11160 Stranwood Ave, Mission Hills, CA 91345).
If you'd like to honor Sal, the family requests that donations be made to the Mary Postal Scholarship Fund at Cal State Channel Islands University, in honor of Sal's daughter who preceded him in death in September 2020.
