He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Ahern; and his brother Bill Ahern. He is survived by: his children, Bob, Nancy Hoeck (Ken), Joanne Akay (John), Suzie Ahern (late Jack) and Mike; his grandchildren, Monica, Michael, Diane, Danny, Amy, Johnny, Acela, Kelli, Beth, Deanna, Ian and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Harrison, Hannah, Harlow, Sadie, Emma, Molly, Keira, Charlotte, Jax, Ollie, Summer, Mariacela, Alivia, Jaden, Blake, Gio, Billy and Ashlynn; his siblings, Mary Schroer and Larry; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Sullivan and Maureen (late Mike); his grandson Brian Ahern; and his caregivers, Lua, Sailo, Elika and Jack. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
