He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Carr and Gladys Carr; and his brothers, Homer, Charles and James Carr.

He is survived by : his wife Thelma "Ann" Carr; and his children, James "Jimmy" Carr (Mary), Leanna Pettitt (Ricky) and Tammy Elliott (Bradley).
