He is survived by: his wife Sandy Johnson; his parents, Rita Johnson and Stephan Johnson; his sisters, Sherry Phillips (Dennis) and Kristy Minka (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Amy Wilhelm (Clarence), Brenda Ludowig (Rick), Carla LeMonier and Doris Willmer (James). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, or the Bruns House (Hospice East Bay) in Alamo.
