He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hallissy and Vivian Hallissy; his siblings, Moira, Aileen and Kerry; and his sister-in-law Marianne.
He is survived by: his siblings, LaSalle (Sean) and Erin Hallissy; his brother-in-law Henry Ushijima; and his nieces, Philippa Marie Lorimor, Melissa Hallissy and Eve Lorimor.
Michael recently made a significant donation to St. Mary's College High School to establish the Mike Hallissy '66 Panther Fund, which will help students on financial aid with money for such things as musical instruments, glasses, nice clothes for dress-up days, PE or sports gear, etc.
