Hidemi Ohkawahira Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 30, 2025, Hidemi Ohkawahira in Culver City, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Hidemi shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Hidemi farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Kayo Ohkawahira; his children, Tracy Ohkawahira (Diane) and Kiku Nakaba; his grandsons, Nathan, Ryan Ohkawahira and Bryce Nakaba; and his sister-in-law Mabel Shimasaki. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Buddhist Temple (2003 Corinth Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90025).
