He was predeceased by : his parents, Emilio Alvarez and Dominga Venegas; and his children, Alfonso Alvarez Jr. (Linda), Anthony Alvarez Sr. (Christine), Armando Alvarez Sr. (Irene), Michael Alvarez (Berdie), Arthur Alvarez Sr. (Renea Borbon), Mark Alvarez Sr. (Linda), Sandra Gomez (Robert), Ricky Alvarez Sr. (Christina), Christina Schwarzwalter (Gregg) and Emilio Alvarez (Christina).

He is survived by : his wife Mary (Hernandez); his sons, Farming and Tomato Harvesters; his friends, Traveling and Hunting; and his son Livestock.
