He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Matawaran and Effie Matawaran; and his siblings, Macy (Donald) and Lorenzo (Kathy). He is survived by: his wife Cecily; his stepchildren, Jason Aquino (Lorna) and Mia Barton (Michael); his grandsons, Andrew, Darren, Tre and Aaron; and his brother Michael Matawaran (Elvie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, three godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Duggan's Serra Mortuary (500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, CA 94014). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Peter Church-Pacifica (700 Oddstad Blvd, Pacifica, CA 94044). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (1500 Old Mission Rd, Colma, CA 94014).
