She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Ortiz and Francisco Ruiz; her husband Luciano Carino; her son Paul Ahumada; her sister Amelia Martinez; her niece Irma Martinez Agtang; and her brother Alberto Ruiz.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Mateo-Laeno (Antonio), David Mateo (Rebecca) and Irene Higueria (James); and her brothers, Eddie Ahumada (Cruz) and Rudy Ahumada. She is also survived by two grandsons, four granddaughters, six great grandsons, three great granddaughters, and two great-great granddaughters.
