She was predeceased by : her parents, La Fayette and Sylvia Dotson; her husband Ercil Strong; and her brothers, Sherman, Eddie, James, George and Eldon Dotson.

She is survived by : her children, Steven Strong, Sandra Neves and Sherry Choquette; and her sister Carolyn Jennings. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
