He was loved and cherished by many people including : his pets, Shadow and Sierra; his wife Donna; his children, Christopher (Kelly), Jason (Alicia), Joshua and Holly (Richard); his grandchildren, Keller, Payton, Jacob, Brady, Brooks, Preston and Airlie; his parents, Joe and Bernice; and his siblings, Vickie (John), Marsha (Tom), Juliet (Brian), Jimmy (Marion), Terri (Jeff) and Angela. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Special Forces Charitable Trust.
