He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerardo Contreras and Dominga Contreras (Carolina); and his brother Jose Contreras. He is survived by : his wife Carolina; his children, Laneia Grindle (Jeff Greer) and Jeff Grindle (Lisa Grindle); his granddaughter Keilani Greer; and his siblings, Emma Salinas, Sylvia Ramos, Manuel Contreras, Joel Contreras, Noe Contreras, Nora Montez and Diana Riley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.
