It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Almeida Dias of Fresno, California, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joe Vaz and Carmen Vaz; and her brother Manuel Vaz. She is survived by : her husband Joe F. Dias; her children, Tony J. Dias (Yolanda) and Naomi C. Dias-Romero; her grandchildren, Sydney Romero, Tony J. Dias Jr., Noelle Romero, Sofia Dias and Josie Dias; her great grandchild Liam Johns; and her nieces and nephews, Christopher Vaz, Manuel Vaz, Crystal Vaz and Kimbir Vaz. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (208 W Jefferson Ave, Fresno, CA 93706). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery (264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706). A committal service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
