She was predeceased by: her parents, David Houston and Zora Bell Pipkins Holmes; her husband Herman Samuel Nichols; and her siblings, Lila Dillard, Shirley Rhea, Ruddie Lee Palmer and Ed Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Shelia Jones (Phillip) of New Albany, Machell Huene of Wilmington, NC, Andy Nichols (Jeannie) of Blue Springs, David Nichols of Blue Springs, Kenneth Nichols (Shelia) of Blue Springs and Sammy Nichols (Pam) of New Albany; and her sister Frances Willard of Myrtle. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
