He was predeceased by: his stepson Jeffrey. He is survived by: his brother Irl; his wife Barbara; his sister Eddie Lou Kester of Fresno; and his stepsons, Harry, Russell Fayter, John, David Villadsen, Joseph and James Hannickel.

That such an inquisitive mind be mired for years in the clutches of Alzheimer's disease was heartbreaking.
