It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shigetaka Kawata of Garden Grove, California, who passed away on June 18, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Kawata; his daughters, Valerie Wakai (Bruce), Joanne Niebla (Michael) and Pamela Amuro (Randy); and his grandchildren, James Wakai, Easton and Kailani Amuro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
